This is a page hand made by me in dreamweaver for me. It will serve two purposes: to show my art work, and to let me learn photoshop and dreamweaver and their many functions and options. So there will be plenty irregularities as I try different ways of doing the same things. Well I hope you enjoy it.
About Me (Thomas Roulx)
I'm in my 20's and a Psych grad from southern connecticut state university that dabbles in art. And might go back to work on becoming an art/psy teacher. Below pretty much sums up my art. - My style can be summed up by my chief influences, baroque and surrealism. I was greatly influence by Caravaggio for his naturalistic renderings of religious art with chiaroscuro. However my main interest in Caravaggio is for his subtle use of symbols and light to create new unorthodox ways of interpreting your religion and faith. My other love is of surreal art, done by surrealist artists like Tanguy and Dali. Because of these two styles I have developed a love of creating naturalistic art with surreal elements that are rendered in a naturalistic and surreal style, with the aim of provoking the mind through the juxtaposition of the two styles. Hopefully it does some of that, because it sounds good, doesn't it. Thank you and have a nice day.
